One for the Tolkien (not just Middle-earth) aficionados this, a new release to look forward to next year.
Much as I might personally love to read some more, unreleased writing about Middle-earth its probably fair to say that that particular well has now run dry. However, given that Tolkien’s original conception of Middle-earth was as a mythology for England I’m absolutely fascinated to read The Professor’s take on what is arguably the only major English mythology that has a pre-Norman root.
Got to wait until May 23rd for this one, but as always Amazon pre-orders are already open!
I wonder if it was a conscious decision to put the publication for this as far as possible away from Hobbit movie releases, May 23rd does rather neatly bisect the year between movie releases, doesn’t it?
