Kishin and Theory lay on the ground outside the covered wagon and watched the stars.
"How many do you think there are?" she asked.
"Millions," she suggested.
"Tens of million, even. There’s no way to tell. There are many we cannot see." He rolled over to look at her, but she didn’t notice. A little disappointed, he went back to the stars.
"I wish we could count them," she said wistfully, turning to watch him. He didn’t notice. Unsurprised, she went back to the stars.
"I don’t know," he said. "It’s nice to have some mysteries in the world."
